The proposal to raise Arkansas’ minimum wage will remain on the November 6 ballot. Court officials found on Monday that the initiative met the amount of valid signatures on Monday, after being allowed extended time to submit valid signatures.
It was found that the secretary of state’s office had mistakenly discard some of the submitted signatures needed to certify the ballot initiative.
Next, the finding will go before the Arkansas Supreme Court. If found to be valid, voters will decide on November 6 if they want to increase the Arkansas’ minimum wage to $11 per hour by 2021.
