A $25 million grant has been awarded to complete a connection on I-49 between Arkansas and Missouri, as announced by the state’s respective senators and congressman. This connection is well-known as the Bella Vista Bypass.
The announcement was made by Sen. John Boozman, Senator Tom Cotton, U.S. Rep. Steve Womack, and U.S. Rep. Billy Long. The grant comes from U.S. Department of Transportation funds.
Arkansas and Missouri have working towards completing this 18.9 mile stretch for the last 25 years.
