The Arkansas Task Tax Force has submitted a tax reform plan. However, now that plan will need reform of its own.

In its current form, the tax plan would increase net state income taxes for nearly 200,000 Arkansan taxpayers by more than $30 million a year.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson now wants a fix to the plan so that it does not increase taxes for anyone.

Hutchinson has also proposed the gradual reduction of the top individual income tax rate from 6.9 percent to 5.9 percent. In addition, the individual income tax tables would be reduced from three to one.

The 92nd General Assembly will begin Monday.
