Twenty-one female Republican legislators are forming a caucus in Arkansas. This was announced on Wednesday as the Arkansas Republican Women’s Legislative Caucus.
The Arkansas Republican Women’s Legislative Caucus have announced an emphasis on education, childcare, juvenile justice reform, expanded funding for a cancer center, as well as increased access to rural broadband access.
The caucus aims to eliminate red tape surrounding child care facilities and broadband. In addition, a particular focus has been placed on raising literacy requirements in schools.
In total, Arkansas’ 92nd General Assembly has thirty-two women serving as legislators.
