An Arkansas student is set to receive just over $40,000 in settlement money from the Huntsville School District, which allegedly violated the student’s first amendment rights.
The student was expelled for a photo of him posted to social media holding a gun.
Kylan Pierce, a junior at Huntsville High School, is still required to spend one year in expulsion. However, Pierce will be able to complete courses online.
Dang I see kids pics with guns every hunting season. Why the school overacted is beyond me. Hope the sent the message out to others.
