USAF Veteran Killed Stopping Robbery in Little Rock
Shawn McKeough, a Senior Airman in the United States Air Force, was shot and killed when he tried to stop an aggravated robbery in Little Rock. Senior Airman McKeough was a 23 year old serving in the 19 Airlift Wing Commander in Little Rock from Westbrook, Maine.
Two armed men dressed in all-black entered the Valero Big Red on Friday night to rob the gas station, when Senior Airman McKeough intervened. He was then fatally shot and killed.
In regards to Senior Airman McKeough, Little Rock Air Force base released a statement “We are heartbroken to have lost a valued member of our Team Little Rock family. Shawn’s death will be felt by each of us, and we are committed to supporting his loved ones and fellow Airmen during this very difficult time.”
The North Little Rock Police Department has put out a reward for $10,000 for information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the men responsible. Any information available can be given to the anonymous, 24 hour tip line at 501-680-8439.
