Flip Flops To Kill School Choice and Election Reform

Representative James Sturch went to the well of the House of Representatives to speak “AGAINST” HB1222, a school choice bill. Here is how he introduced his speech:

Colleagues this is the first time in my legislative career I have ever spoke for or against a bill …

WAIT! STOP RIGHT THERE! Do you realize that means there had been THOUSANDS of bills debated in the House chamber for more than two years while Sturch just sat in his seat with nothing to say! Yes, you heard right …. THOUSANDS.

Okay, that being said ….
For James Sturch “standing up” is synonymous with “flip flopping.”

  • March 16, 2017, Sturch stood up and went to the well of the House to speak “AGAINST” the school choice bill, but he had voted “FOR” the school choice bill in committee. A complete FLIP FLOP in just a couple of days.
  • March 30, 2017, Sturch again stood up, but this time to walk out of the House Chambers so his vote “FOR” election reform would be stricken from the record and the bill would FAIL because without his vote the bill no longer had a majority. This FLIP FLOP only took him two minutes.

Sturch says “When Conservatives want to get things done James Sturch is the only candidate who can be counted on.” That should read, “counted on to be a flip flop.”

Having excelled at flip-flopping in the House of Representatives Sturch wants to take his flip-flopping skills to the Arkansas Senate.
