Lottery Sees Record Revenue, Just 12% Goes to Scholarships

The Arkansas lottery reported record revenue for July 2018 but money available for scholarships fell. July saw a record $42.4 million in revenue. Just $5.1 million, or 12%, was set aside for educational scholarships.

$1.5 million will go to a gaming contractor with another $1 million paid out for a “Play It Again” prize winner. Last fiscal year the lottery brought in over $500 million in revenue with $92 million used for educational scholarships.
