Minimum Wage Increase to $11/HR Will Be On November Ballot

The people of Arkansas will vote this November on whether to increase the minimum wage up to $11.00 per hour (by 2021). A initiated act to raise the minimum wage received over 84,000 signatures and has been certified to be placed on the November ballot. They needed just under 68,000.

The raise would be incremental with a final $11 per hour minimum wage in Arkansas by January 1, 2021. The current minimum wage in Arkansas is $8.50 per hour, the highest in the region. The highest state minimum wage in the U.S. is currently $11.50 per hour in Washington.
