A woman has been sentenced to 8 years in prison, after stabbing her husband in 2017. Christine Buckner pleaded guilty to manslaughter for stabbing her husband, leading to his subsequent death.
Buckner told authorities that she stabbed her husband after he approached her with a knife. Prior to the incident, the couple had exchanged text messages where Buckner stated that she would stab him if he stabbed her.
Records show past accusations of abuse against her husband.
While Buckner was not determined to be mentally impaired, she will have to receive mental counseling once her 8 year sentence in prison has been served.
