Lawsuit Over Arkansas Hog Farm Upheld

In a recent ruling, the lawsuit filed against the state over the denial of a permit to an Arkansas hog farm has been upheld and allowed to continue.

The denial of permit comes from the environmental policy body of the Arkansas state government due to the proximity of the hog farm to the Buffalo River, citing pollution.

The Arkansas Pollution and Ecology Commission motioned to have the lawsuit dismissed. Judge John Putman denied the motion on Friday.
