Constitutional Carry Affirmed in Arkansas

The House Judiciary Committee voted in favor of a proposed resolution which affirms a previous ruling that Arkansas is a constitutional carry state. The resolution states that carrying without a permit, concealed or openly, is legal in Arkansas. The resolution would have no impact on the prior ruling.

The resolution will now be voted on by the entirety of the Arkansas house.

In October of 2018, Constitutional Carry was upheld in Arkansas. The Arkansas Court of Appeals issued a ruling recognizing and upholding the validity of open carry or concealed carry of a firearm without a license/permit in Arkansas.
