Former Arkansas Sen. Jeremy Hutchinson fined $11,000 for Campaign Finance Violations

Former Arkansas State Sen. Jeremy Hutchinson was fined $11,000 for violating campaign-finance laws by the Arkansas Ethics Commission. In August, Hutchinson was charged with 12 counts of wire and tax fraud, in conjunction with campaign-finance violations.

After a private hearing, the Arkansas Ethics Commission voted unanimously 3 to 0 to fine Hutchinson for four specific campaign-finance violations.

Among these violations, Hutchinson was fined for using campaign funds as personal income in addition to failure to report campaign contributions, expenditures, and filings.
