Primary Election Day in State Senate District 7 Race

Today, Tuesday, December 14, is primary Election Day in the state senate race for District 7. The general election is set for February 8. Four Republicans and two Democrats joined the race. The four Republicans are: Jim Bob Duggar of Tontitown; Colby Fulfer of Springdale; Robert Nowlin of Fayetteville; and Steve Unger of Springdale. Lisa Parks of Tontitown and Derek Van Voast of Springdale are the two candidates running in the Democratic primary.

Five polling locations will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday:

The Awakening Church in Fayetteville

First Baptist Church of Elkins

Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale

First Church of the Nazarene in Springdale

Sonora Baptist Church in Springdale

District 7 became available after Senator Lance Eads, R-Springdale, resigned in October to work for Capitol Consulting Firm of Little Rock, lobbyist firm. His resignation left District 7 with a vacancy for the rest of his four-year term, which began in 2020.

Early voting began Tuesday, December 7.

Get out and vote! Be sure to vote for the platform Republican.
