Election Contest Complaint Filed in House District 25

Jody Harris, Republican Primary Candidate for Arkansas House of Representatives District 25, filed an Election Contest Complaint against the Crawford County Board of Election Commissioners Bill Coleman, Mike Moxley, and Memory Boucher; and opponent Chad Puryear.

The complaint was filed by Attorney Clint Lancaster on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, in the Franklin County Circuit Court.

In the complaint, Harris and her attorney challenge the certification of the House District 25 Republican primary race by the Crawford County Board of Election Commissioners, and they seek to void the results and not install the plaintiff or any other person into office.

My attorney filed an election contest lawsuit against the members of the Crawford County Board of Election Commissioners,” said Jody Harris, Republican Primary Candidate for House District 25. “My Arkansas House District 25 opponent is also a party only to comply with legal requirements related to due process.”

Harris went on to say, “Because of how the HD25 race in Crawford County was conducted, there is no way to know if this was a fair election.  There is no transparency. Win or lose, election integrity must be maintained for candidates and voters to know our elections are not only free and fair but also appear to be free and fair. I will continue to keep you informed in this process.
