Corey DeAngelis: This is a Wave That Can’t Be Stopped By Teacher Unions

Corey DeAngelis, a Senior Fellow at the American Federation for Children and leading activist pushing for radical school choice, joins Conduit News to discuss educational freedom and why 2022 is the Year of the Parent.

DeAngelis discusses the universal school choice bill that recently passed in Arizona and says that with a supermajority in the legislature, the same should happen here. “The slimmest of majorities got this done in Arizona. Arkansas better be able to get it done this session as well. They have supermajorities of Republicans in the House, in the Senate, in Arkansas. This is on the Republican Party Platform in Arkansas and it’s also in the Republican Party Platform overall nationwide as well. So this shouldn’t be an issue.”

DeAngelis, who has a has a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Arkansas, says he’s optimistic about the future of school choice in Arkansas. “This is a wave that can’t be stopped by the teachers unions. And at the end of the day, we’re going to free families from the teachers unions’ depraved clutches once and for all. And there’s not a dang thing they can do about it, but it’s going to be up to parents to fight back…parents will win the war that the teachers unions waged on their children because parents care about their kids more than anybody else.”
