2nd Congressional District Chair Jennifer Lancaster joins us in studio once again to break down everything you need to know about June 8th’s RPA State Convention. Lancaster first explains what the State Convention is and why it is so important, as well as how the Convention has been historically handled.
Lancaster then dives into the rules of the Republican Party of Arkansas. Why are the rules so important? What happens when the RPA Rules do not specifically address an issue — then what other rules come into play? Lancaster points out the recent Trump conviction and how Democrats move the goalpost and break rules to achieve a particular end result. Is our own party going to follow New York now?
There were a number of platform and rules changes timely submitted to the RPA ahead of the State Convention. Lancaster briefly breaks down each of those submissions and why they are important. But the big question remains: will these submissions be heard?
Finally, Lancaster offers a word of encouragement to Platform Republicans and encourages them to use their voice to join in the fight.
