The 2026 election cycle is already underway, with candidates across Arkansas announcing their campaigns for federal, state, and local offices.
Voters will weigh in on all seven statewide constitutional offices next year—including high-profile races for governor and U.S. Senate. All four congressional seats will also be on the ballot and may face primary or general election challengers.
In the state legislature, 17 Senate seats are up for election, along with all 100 seats in the Arkansas House of Representatives.
Term limits are also reshaping the field. Five of the 17 open Senate seats are due to term-limited incumbents, and at least eight representatives in the House are also reaching the end of their allowable service.
Here’s a quick overview of who’s in, who’s out, and which races are starting to heat up.
