State Representative John Payton (R – Wilburn) joined Paul Harrell on Conduit News Radio to detail his bill to cut the sales tax on used vehicles. Currently, vehicles purchases for less than $4,000 do not have sales tax applied. Payton’s bill would increase that threshold to $7,500.

There should be no sales tax on used vehicle sales ! The state and the county have already made money on the sticker price . So why should there be a second sales tax when someone eles buys it no matter the price !
Why not take 7500 off all vehicles. Why do we pay sales tax on rebates and what the dealer comes down. In that case, every retail sale that is on sale, should be taxed at its retail value. STUPID!!!
