Washington County State Committeeman Mike Landry submitted a resolution at the WCRC April meeting that opposed the RPA’s two proposed rules changes that will be voted on at the RPA’s state committee meeting on May 18. The resolution overwhelmingly passed. Landry joins Conduit News to discuss why he brought that resolution forward to the county committee.
Landry says it is time for county committees to become “jealous” again of preserving local control, and “say we don’t approve of any removal of authority at the local committee, even though it may seem like a minor thing.”
