Abe and Oil

Last night, President Donald Trump and Former Vice President Joe Biden went head to head in the last Presidential debate before the election. This debate was much more civil than the last and the moderator was too. There was a lot riding on this debate and both candidates desperately needed to perform. The American people needed answers to some major questions and boy did they get some.

Former Vice President Joe Biden lost himself the election last night!  Although Joe was much more eloquent than normal, he made several monumental mistakes.  Fracking has been a hot topic over the last few months because Biden has flip-flopped on the issue multiple times. First, he was against fracking and told several individuals on video that he would love to ban fracking and that he would ban fracking. He has also tried to word it as “eliminating fossil fuels.”  When the polls represented how much the American people disliked this, Biden changed his tune. Biden then said he would not ban fracking; he would just eliminate federal subsidies. The question was posed again last night which noticeably irritated Biden. President Trump played into that and flat out asked Biden if he would eliminate the oil industry. Flustered Biden said that he would eliminate the oil industry. This is a significant deal breaker for many Americans. It also greatly affects some major swing states like Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Biden did not give Americans confidence in his competency when he said, “Abraham Lincoln here is one of the most racist presidents we’ve had in modern history.” It was obvious that this was not a joke and that Biden was confused. This was another negative strike against Former Vice President Joe Biden. The “elephant in the room,” Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner of Hunter and Joe Biden gave a press conference minutes before the debate and revealed that he had worked with them together with China very closely. Bobulinski corroborated many of the e-mails and details circulating.  When asked about his son, Hunter, and their business dealings, Biden just denied and deflected. Biden stumbled around and had a hard time defending himself and his son on the subject.

President Trump on the other hand was fantastic. He was calm, cool, and collected. He answered questions with poise and facts. He was presidential. It was truly a beautiful thing. The American people were looking to him to hold Biden’s feet to the fire and get him to answer the questions he has been avoiding. President Trump delivered. President trump was the clear winner of last night’s debate. The polls are saying 81% of Americans felt that President Trump won. He also made high marks with the black community. The National Daily Black Likely Voter Job Approval for President Trump went from 25% on Monday to 46% by Friday morning.

This Presidential race and its importance are not lost on the American people. Over fifty million Americans have already voted. Do your part and get out and vote!
